In some form or another this blog has been on the interweb from 1998. Formerly known as “evaeris.com,” “umichan.net,” “umichan.org,” and “winglike.com.” In the past, it was hosted at my high school friend’s sdf1.2y.net server. Then, it was powered by my little Dell workstation running apache, which buzzed all day and night. During those days, I updated everything by hand on little notepad. These days, this site is on a robust hosting company, dreamhost.com, and powered by wordpress.org.

Umi says yes to chocolate, no to sewing buttons into her eyes. Umi likes other people’s geek themed Christmas trees, but never has one of her own. Umi likes to knit small complex projects that keep her attention on the needles. She has never finished a single scarf project. Umi wrote her thesis on dead german guys. She assures you that she doesn’t spend her time hangin’ out with dead corpses. During the daytime she works in a marketing department in the private sector, making websites and managing email campaigns. She grew up in NYC and currently lives in Brooklyn, NY.
