Rain.

Saturday, October 2nd, 2010

Something about the rain put a damper on my spirits. Aside from the fact that it’s always hard to get out of bed and commute into work through the rain. Perhaps new rain gear would remedy that. It’s always hard to figure out what to wear on a rainy day. I tend to choose skirts, something short that won’t get wet, and boots. It’s either going to be clammy or muggy, so there is that choice. It’s always a little too much to think about at 7am. I find that I wake up in the morning and I can’t get out of bed… because I can’t think of what to wear. I either choose something way more over dressed, because at least at I can just repeat a tried and true outfit. Or I end up looking like my closet ate me and burped me out.

Today is suppose to be a nice day, but the L train is undergoing construction this whole weekend. I might be stranded here… in Brooklyn. You might need to send a search party for me. I’ll be the one covered in peanut butter reeses chips.

For the past three weeks, my days have been spent, going to work, and bringing the food home. No real late nights or outings after work. Perhaps a dinner in the neighborhood. There’s a pretty new bar near the Morgan stop called Narrow Bar with wonderful cocktails and a tequila sol combo for $6. There’s also a great Japanese place called Momo, by the same people who did Bozu, with creative “sushi bombs.” I’ve been spending ALL of my money on food and booze, literally. And then passing out to random netflix selections, like last night… I opened a bottle of rose and passed out to “American Werewolf in London.”
